Safety Tips

We love our candles, but we love our customers more, that is why we feel like it is important to give you some tips on how to burn your candles safely.

Candle Safety Tips

  • Trim the wick(s) of your candle using scissors or a wick trimmer to ¼ inch before burning your candle.
  • Burn your candle in a well-ventilated room, but avoid drafts, vents, and other types of air currents. This helps prevent uneven burning or sooting.
  • Place your candles on an even surface away from flammable objects such as paper, drapes, furniture, etc..
  • Light your candles using a long match or a long lighter to avoid getting too close to the flame, making sure your hair and clothing are pulled back before lighting.
  • Keep your lit candle in one place, never move your candle while it is lit. Do not burn your candle for more than four hours at a time.
  • Keep your candle away from pets and children at all times, especially when burning. We recommend storing your candles up high and behind a closed door.
  • Keep a close eye on your candle and never leave it unattended. Always make sure to extinguish your candle before leaving the house or going to bed.
  • Do not extinguish candles using the lid. Use a candle snuffer instead.
  • Make sure the candle is completely out before you leave it unattended.
